(Anonymous) 2022-07-02 02:20 am (UTC)(link)Why? Isn’t it supposed to be analogous to the type of people who have flags on the back of their trucks irl?

(Anonymous) 2022-07-02 08:29 am (UTC)(link)Where did I say any of that about right leaning people? I was talking about the stereotypical people who have flags on their trucks. They are right leaning people for sure. But they’re a specific type of overly patriotic, to the point of jingoistic, that is what a deck seems to be based on. He also has other traits of general right wing people as well, but I didn’t bring up any of that.
But I never said any of that about right leaning people, as a whole or otherwise. Nor did I say Freck wasn’t portrayed sympathetically or understandably in some ways. I only said “the type of people who have flags on the back of their trucks irl”?

I mean, I can't tell about other people in the world, but a core vision of right-leaning people in the US is seeing the value of strong-man authoritarianism. It's actually quite
scaryinteresting how much regular people's philosophy has a core fashy foundation (a certain type of religious thought, no matter the religion, doesn't help).Like, "people's own benefit" includes destroying anything that would challenge their one ring to rule them all perspective.
