It's especially dumb when you realize that most merch (unless you're buying like, the $300 scale figures) is actually pretty cheap these days. You don't have to be rich to be able to afford the average merch that most fandoms get.

You do realize that "pretty cheap" in one place can be "pretty expensive" in another due to different currencies and importing taxes, right?

This secret is weird.
But for example simple enamel pin costed me around 25$ thanks to shipping costs. Also I make like 500$/month if you convert money. How is it cheap for me?
