I actually judge the They're both abusers crowd. Those people will never believe male victims or victims that are not 100% wholesome angels.

It might look like this but I'm not a Depp fan. He's yet another old celebrity marrying a much younger woman. And he made calls to help her get a job which is pure nepotism.

It’s understandable that you believe this, and there’s definitely evidence to back your opinions up.

But considering how many people didn’t believe her from the start either, even without a solid reason to do so yet(other than waiting for more information before making judgments, which is valid), the people who would never believe in “victims that are not 100% wholesome angels” are on both sides. One side has more evidence than the other, but don’t pretend like people on Depp’s side weren’t using the myth of the “perfect victim” like a standard in order to not believe her way before Depp went to court and proved his case. Let’s not pretend either side is full of only good people who use good and realistic standards to base their beliefs on. Both women and men outside of this aren’t believed because they don’t fit societal misunderstandings and definitions of victimhood. This case helped one person prove their victimhood, but it’s not magically going to make society better or make the assholes shut up.

So you're saying that people that support Amber after the trial are not bad people but just intellectually lazy and misinformed? Fare enough.

But seeing absolutelly all the replies here are either pro Amber or Both are abusers camp is just too much. Absolutelly all replies. And I've been talking to these same people about my fandoms and seriously considering their opinions. Disgusting.

There are some of them who are legitimately bad people. But intellectually lazy as misinformed seem just as prominent. I don’t like them much either way, even if I’m trying to be fair.

There’s some bad people in Depp’s camp, but they’re not the majority, and I feel like I didn’t communicate that well enough. They’re the people who actually did the research and watched the trial, which you can’t say for Heard’s side. There’s some things that aren’t both sides issues, and I do think this is largely one of them, no matter what I’ve said. There might be some bad people on both sides, but one side is running on nothing but societal biases and a lack of understanding, and it’s not Depp’s side.
