Finally pulled myself together and directly asked my friend if they already paid back some money they owed me (I know they didn't but I wanted to be subtle about it). They said they did send it via PayPal but I checked and told them I didn't see it and if they could check again. But I'm being ignored because they're so sure of themselves.
They have much, much more money then me and it annoys me a lot but I'm not sure how to address it again...

Be direct. "Hey friend, you haven't paid me back yet - I think you got me confused with someone else when you said you'd already sent the money over. I need it by (date), please send it over by then."

They're not your friend if they're willing to lie about money.

I agree with other reply. Bring it up directly. Though at some point you may just have to count it as a loss.

Yeah, I know I should but I'm super anxious about these things because it makes me uncomfortable. I will try again though.
