idk, a lot of games have this type of plot point. Mostly 'cause the alternative is playing the story straight, so it's the very-much base attempt to reverse it.

Wow, Mobius Final Fantasy. Yeah, totally forgot that was a thing. Might have to watch a playthrough of it soon for kicks.

As a big fan of two of those games, I'm glad to see they got a shout-out, but a bit sad it's a negative one, haha. I wish people would join me in my tiny fandoms, lol. (World of Final Fantasy was also cute; haven't played the fourth game.)
