Shit, I just assumed Crusty was somebody's name/handle? Who the fuck names their pet Crusty?!? I mean /maybe/ if it was a lizard, but idk, that's just freakin' weird otherwise.

(okay I guess I'm still gonna be an ass- since any kind of pet loss is tragic- but like even looking at them in the image OP used, they're seriously givin' me bad vibes times a thousand...)

They called him crusty because he was an old scruffy street cat they kept seeing in their neighbourhood. He always had crusted eyes and that's how they recognized him, like "oh look, there's the crusty one". When they adopted him the name stuck.

And... saying people give you ~bad vibes~ just from a single picture... lol wtf. I know someone here is giving off bad vibes and it ain't them.
