I'm so sorry to hear about your marriage, OP. Sending you lots of positive vibes so you can find a workable solution.

I'm sorry OP. I can't imagine how hard your situation is. And I'm sorry so much media has a lot of that stuff. =( I hope you're finding some good stuff. I wish you all the best, and I hope you will get some good luck coming your way in some form. You deserve to a break.

I'm so sorry, OP, and I'm right there with you 🖤 I received my judgement of absolute divorce Friday, and it's been so hard finding media that doesn't remind me of the really good times and the really shitty times. I don't know how you feel about reality-ish TV or "documentaries", but things like Worst Cooks In America and Monster Quest have been my go-to distractions. Hammer Horror movies have also proven to be good, because I find them so cheesy that they're actually amazing. Sending all my love 🖤

I'm sorry, OP. I've been there, in a marriage that was doing nothing for either of us, but had become more habit and a sort of weird comfort than anything else.

I know it's hard but...if you think it's irretrievable, then start making plans to end it. Don't live in misery and waste your life over a relationship that only breeds more misery. It's literally not worth it in terms of mental or physical health and wellbeing.

Getting divorced sucked and was scary as fuck, but I did it, and it was like suddenly being filled with helium. I could fly again. It was a good thing.
*hugs*

I'm so sorry, nonny - that sounds like a shitty situation.

Adding to the sympathies in regards to your marriage, OP. I hope things change for the better for you someday, and I hope that day comes as soon as possible.

I also hope you can find some stuff out there that can bring you the comfort and escape you need right now.

I hope you ccan get out of that situation soon. I know how hard it is, I really do. I watched Branagh's Henry V so many times during my divorce.

Currently going through much the same thing as regards depictions of happy families, and yeah, I totally relate.
