Re: Vent thread

I met up with my uncle at the zoo and he didn't bring any water or snacks for himself, so I gave him my unopened bottled water and kept the open one for myself, because the zoo concession prices are nuts--$5.50 a bottle. I spent a few hundred already today on the fancy zoo pass that lets me bring guests, so I wasn't about to buy zoo food and water too.

He's the one with money. He makes more in retirement than I've ever made in my life.

He drove himself home an hour ago and I'm walking back to the trolley station. So I've done 10 miles so far on half a bottle of water and have at least a couple miles to go. At least it clouded up again; it was hot and sunny enough for awhile that I was burning even with sunscreen.

I love my uncle, but I get frustrated when he doesn't come prepared for outings. It's not that he's forgetful, he's just not very practical.

I am pretty sure if he makes enough money he should have handled zoo prices.
He is a grown ass adult. Not practical people can deal with consequences instead of being treated like children. I am not saying that you should always be aggressive, but wtf

SA. I feel it was uncalled of me to give advices on a vent thread, but let me get it straight:
-You have bought tickets
-Gave him your water and probably snacks
-He even haven't a grace to give you a ride

He either was coddled through his life or is just using you for being a decent person. You really really shouldn't encourage this shit.
Have a rest, drink some water, but try in the future do be more assertive.

P. S
Also fuck capitalism water should be free.

If he has money then I don't think you're obligated to buy food for him during outings.

Hell's bells, anon, next time keep all the water for yourself and make him buy his own. Drink lots once you're home and have a damn good rest.

(Any nice animals at the zoo? Red panda, medium-sized cats?)
