Do you like puzzles?

(Anonymous) 2022-07-22 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
If so, what kind? And are you good at them?

Nope. I find them tedious.

I liked word puzzles and crosswords and things like that. Sudoku is OK - pure logic puzzles can get a little tedious sometimes though.

Sure, I like them. I'm... okay at them, if we're talking about an average.

I play nonograms/picross games and kenken these days mostly. I also enjoy the Professor Layton games, which have a variety of different puzzles.

This was a self-serving question.

I'm obsessed with logic puzzles. For years I was mostly just doing Sudoku and sometimes Kenken, but for the last few months I've been obsessed with Slitherlink, Shingoki, and Galaxies.

I found this free puzzle website in January and have been obsessed with it ever since:

https://www.puzzle-loop.com/

I also like crosswords, but not as much. I hate hitting dead ends with crosswords because I just don't have the knowledge I would need to solve it. Sometimes you can get the answer anyway, but if the answer is a name, and a couple of the cross answers are also names, and you don't know the factoids for any of them, then you're kind of screwed. That drives me crazy.

Yes, if my brain is up to them. Spatial puzzles are best, like jigsaws or map-based puzzles. But it's hard to sit up, or concentrate, long enough to do them.

I like word and trivia and logic puzzles.

Do jigsaw puzzles count? If not, I do basic crosswords and word searches every once in a while.

I love them. Trying to find the next thread to pull then watching it all unravel into simplicity is beautiful. Especially maths puzzles.

yesssss, jigsaw puzzles mainly. 1000 pcs for easy stimulation, 1500-2000 for a challenge. 3000+ is just tedious and frustrating imo.

love doing the daily nyt games as well.
