Much as I liked the miniseries version of Catch 22, Clara, Nately's sex worker girlfriend, got raped and murdered in that version. She doesn't in the book, she survives and goes crazy but she doesn't get raped or killed.

Oh, man. Why is rape always the go-to 'thing'? So fucking tired of that.

the same guy raped a different character in the book. the whole thing is a very damning indictment of the fact that the armed forces tends to cover such incidents up.
