I couldn't watch it. I even tried to get through the first episode but couldn't even manage it. I love how they kept Cat, she's amazing, and Twitch has always been one of my all time favourites, but even with Lithgow gone (who's horrifically homophobic/small minded comments is what caused me to drop the program in the first place) it just wasn't enough. (it didn't help that I hated that Morrison guy even before he tried to get with one of the dancers and then play the victim or whatever the hell that was all about)

I'm not surprised that there's not much talent on the season though, none of the judges are actually trained/particularly talented dancers themselves. (aside from Twitch, but that's not enough tbh) And with the shit Morrison pulled I doubt that helped things at all. (ntm COVID/vaccines may have been an issue)
They really should have just gone with something altogether new. The shows been faltering for years and I doubt it has a good reputation in the dance world either. Getting rid of one of the top talents is also a classic example of them trying to get people to talk about it, but it really just makes them look like they have no idea what they're doing and it's just a bad look altogether.

(getting rid of the dance for your life thing is probably the worst though.)

lol, I'm so dumb- I was so confused why you were shipping you're specially designed personal computer with random characters for a full second there. Player Character, NOT computer!!;;

I honestly never considered doing that, but next time I play an RPG with the right specs to do that I'm absolutely going too! That sounds like so much fun! I never really got the point of making yourself in games, I usually stick to a random personality I invent on the spot, so it'll be a lot more interesting and fun to recreate an old fav of mine and pretend they were transported in the game!

back when I used to RPG a lot my characters were usually a mishmosh of several aspects of characters from very different media, for example, one was a combination of House and Jackie Chan. Only female.

Omg, I've been obsessed with Pathfinder: WotR for the past month. (I was planning on making a secret about it too hehe.)

I based my first PC off of a book character and it was so fun! The PC I'm playing right now is an original character though. I also keep not ending up in the romance I planned to go with lol.

On a related note if you want a fun RPG game to play with high chance for crossover goodness, try Wildermyth. You get to make 3 or more characters for your party. I always base them off of characters from other games/books/shows and I think the game is great at keeping them in character based on the personality tags I used for them. It's a fun game and it's led to some ships I never planned on since the PCs can romance each other.

There was a post about building your fav characters in different systems and this game has so many options, so much detail, that you really can build your darlings. And then set them on the demons. Woo!

Sometimes it's an empowerment fantasy, sometimes it's a power fantasy, sometimes it's a trauma-fueled revenge fantasy, and sometimes it's something else. Often, it's a depressed and angry man violently trying to fix something that can't really be fixed... dressed as a giant bat. Occasionally, it's a satirical take on moralism with go-go dancing. There have been a lot of canonical Batman stories.

Forums have always been the best setup for fandom, for sure, I really wish they'd come back as the main way to do fandom. This place gives me so much nostalgia as well since I used to visit it all the time like 10-15 years ago.
I'm a slow-ass typer and wayy too hesitant to use Discord properly even, by the time I figure out what to say everyones already moved on to something else so I just never even bother. (I totally agree that some other places feel like more of a tit for tat situation though)

Just thinking about how Utterson is rarely featured in Jekyll and Hyde adaptations. I guess it's because the mystery aspect of the book doesn't work anymore. Still sucks considering there's usually a love interest or two added to the story.
