Hard same. Obviously it's going to be a hard pill to swallow that you still didn't make it back to your kid but Allison was just... I guess it felt like she only seemed to care how this new time wrinkle fucked with HER life and not anyone else's?

I wonder if it was a unholy mixture of her own PTSD, whatever psychic damage Christopher gave her during that one attack, and her having started using her powers (after a year of not doing them). I feel like her powers have a sort of insidious addiction quality to them and her underlining trauma pushes that into a vicious cycle of making her meaner the more she uses it.

AYRT yeah considering they never really (that I noticed but I may need to do a rewatch) fully explained what Christopher's full range/effects were, I think it's entirely possible there was a whole avalanche of things that pushed her into the way she acted. Still makes it hard to swallow though when everyone else was going through stuff too.

I mean, that is pretty in character, though it would have been good for the others to try to do something.

While I think there should have been more 'wait a minute; let's think this through' or even having one sibling go with Allison to find her kid -- it made sense on how it happened.

At that point they didn't realize they didn't have doubles (or have taken over their double's lives). They just knew they were never the Umbrella Academy. It was later that Five's discovers they were part of the Grandfather paradox.

Granted I think someone should have been like 'what are the actual odds non-power Allison/non-Academy based Allison would have married the same person and had the same child.'

I really don't understand all the negative vibes Allison gets tbh. Admittedly, I haven't watched the latest season just yet- but like every since it first debuted the only core character to be shit on more than her was Luthor. And like, I just never got it.

If anything she seems to be the /only/ one who was capable of moving on, growing up, and realizing how she was raised was wrong. Stopped using her powers as a result. Which, comparatively to super accuracy or super strength, would have been a incredibly difficult and constantly tempting decision which she'd have to make every last moment of every day. idk, she's been nothing but compassionate and kind throughout the last two seasons and similarly to how they veto'd the sibling romance and made a point to condemn it- ntm, how they gave in to viewer interpretation to making Vanya gay based on her 1st season looks- I wouldn't be surprised that they simply readjusted her character to whatever feedback they heard most loudly and thought that was what character development was all about.

I didn't have any issues with Allison in S1 and S2, but S3 was a doooozy. I suggest you watch it to see why people take a lot of issue with her this season.

NAYRT but yeah. I could 100% forgive her for stuff that happened in S1 and S2 because she seemed to learn, move on, and she even supported Vanya/Viktor where the other siblings wanted to cut them out/lock them up, but S3 was just... nope. Between what happened with Luthor among other things, I lost all sympathy.

Yeah, you should watch season 3. Not getting into spoilers, her behavior is sort of understandable, but highly disgusting. I have found her a bit boring in s1 and s2, she isn't just interesting character to me, but s3 Allison is villain territory
