Yes, this is how I feel. The Doctor is an amazing person that can easily pass for a human (just a weird one) so companions for them isn't unexpected. Neither is the Doctor feeling something back. I just never want it to become the central focus of the Doctor and companion relationship. That definitely happened with Rose and a little with Martha (although that was unrequited and just dragged out the Rose stuff even more)
