Re: Grooming habits?
(Anonymous) 2022-08-06 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)Non-hair washing days I can shower 3-10 minutes. Hair washing days are usually 20~ minutes.
I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week since I blow out my hair. My scalp remains dry for a few days and my hair looks nice and is effortless to take care of for a few days. It takes me about 15 - 60 minutes to blow out my hair.
Washing routine (non hair washing): face wash, soap body, rinse
Hair washing: Shampoo hair, rinse, condition hair, do a scrub, rinse hair, put hair up in a wrap, face wash, lather body, scrub heel of my feet with a metal foot scrubber, soap feet, rinse face and body.
I don't shave since I don't think I have a lot of body hair and the body hair I do have doesn't bother me. Though I do get my upper lips and eyebrows threaded, those I do feel insecure about.
I only brush my teeth in the shower during the week. On the weekends I don't feel a need to shower ASAP so I brush my teeth and face when I wake up on the weekends.
I always shower with the lid to my toilet closed. I usually have clothes or a towel sitting at the top of the toilet lid. I'm also a klutz so it's always better to have the toilet seat down except for when I'm using the toilet.
Face pampering routine:
exfoliating scrub (once a week/every other week...maybe even once a month)
foaming clear face wash (I swear by Cetaphil, one pump and lather it between your palms until you get foams and gently rub over your face, I use behind my ears and on my neck too)
pat face dry
2-step 5 acids peel patches (5-10 day treatment; I just began to add this into my routine, I think I'm going to use this every 3-6 months, really impressed with the results so far)
pimple patch if I need any
sheet mask (I used to use these every day but I only use these when I can afford time to really pamper myself because I use all the essence in the packages/sheet masks on my entire body, it's a long pampering session and I'm usually watching a really long video essay on these pampering days lol)
essence toner
ampoule (5 drops on my face/neck, 2 drops on my chest/neck)
daily moisturizer (when I get up/morning)/night face cream (bed/nighttime)
sunscreen (when I go out during the day)
lip balm/night lip mask
OMG I've bumped it up to 9 steps!!!! Even on a more regular day/night I'm still doing 5-7 steps! I used to only do 3 steps (face wash, essence/toner, lip balm)! I'm not super well off so a lot of the stuff I use is considered not high end stuff but I'm OK with it. It works for me. <3
