I'm saying this as a person who has no probs with the darkest written fics of adults having all types of dark stuff happening to them (if they're written well).

Okay, but your line-drawing here seems kind of arbitrary to me. Kidnapping and rape of adults is also terrible IRL, but it sounds like you're fine with it in fiction as long as it's "written well" (meaning, to your personal taste). You're capable of assuming the author isn't getting off on it in a way you disapprove of - or maybe you do enjoy non-con fic with adult characters in a kink way? (Which is fine, IMO, but you're not being clear on the distinction.) So you're fine with fictional depictions of some horrible sexual things but not others. Which is fine. But if you're against sexual abuse of children being depicted, surely sexual abuse of adults is also bad, right? What about abuse of children that's non-sexual? Is that okay?
