AO3 has always allowed dark content. Yes, even the really fucking disturbing stuff that makes me want to scrub my eyes with a wire brush simply from having seen the tags. And, er, there're a lot of reasons for that which I'm not going to spam you with, but in the meantime, can I interest you in the code for an Author Blocking Skin?

That said, fictional paedophilia, however nasty, is not grounds for an Abuse report. (You *can* complain about improper tagging, if they have not tagged and warned a given fic accurately.)

I found the author-blocking skin a life-saver. I can respect someone's right to be on the Archive, but sometimes I really, really, do not want to see anything they write, ever, and the skin lets me manage that.
