There is an enormous fuck off spider in my bedroom and now I won't be able to sleep and I have to be up in 2 hours. FUCK

I sympathize with you Nonny. Can you sleep in another room, on a sofa or something?

No other room to sleep in unfortunately. :(

It is more scared of you than you are of it, I guarantee it. You are too big for it to eat, and not small enough for a conventional threat display to prevent from splatting it. It wants as little to do with you as it can. Leave it alone and it'll slink off on its own.

Thank you, this actually helped.

If a spider is in your room there is a good chance there are other bugs nearby that the spider is hunting. Happy anxiety! :-P

Yeah I'm not scared of other bugs. Nice try though.

I once woke up because my face felt itchy. Turned out I had a spider crawling over my face. I didn’t get any sleep that night.

NAYRT - This right here is the kind of shit that keeps me fearing spiders. I would say I have only a moderate fear of spiders, and every few years I will get to a point where I start thinking spiders aren't so bad, they're fine really, NBD, it's all good. And then inevitably a moment will come where there is a medium-to-large sized spider ON me, completely out of the blue, and I'll shriek, and leap up in utter revulsion and fright, and then I'm back to fearing spiders again.

If spiders would just stay off of 1. my body. and 2. my bed, we would honesty be cool. They could live in my house, eat my bugs, mutually beneficial relationship. But the little fuckers don't understand boundaries, and so the irrationally intense fear and hatred continues.

...eep D:.

My neighbors would be able to hear my screams if that happened to me. I'm sorry.

I don't mind spiders, but the one time I saw one crawling over my pillow, I pulled the entire damn bed away from the wall. I don't know if that stops them completely but I haven't had trouble since.

Give it a name. 'Bob' or 'Fluffy' is less intimidating than 'big spider'.
