You're entirely right.

I'm the biggest Beatles fan on the planet and usually don't like other bands' covers of their songs but I love that one!

That movie was damn dumb (my horror-host friend would say "misunderstood") but some of the soundtrack songs are terrific. Earth, Wind, and Fire's cover of "Got to Get You Into My Life" was also very good.

Looking at that image, I realized I may be showing my age (on my birthday yet) by assuming the secret poster knows what "that movie" is, as the Aerosmith cover gets plenty of radio play long after it was forgotten.

Different anon-- I saw that gawdawful mess in the theatre, aged about eleven, and just sat there bewildered... until Aerosmith showed up as the Future Villain Band and I immediately began to root for them. They were so dirty-cool and that version of the song was The Business.

Same anon as above-- Also, I liked the soundtrack version of "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds," which I suspect is a minority opinion.

Previous anon-- I was about eight and liked it in that crazed, uncritical way eight-year-olds will like the dumbest things. I'm sure I'd be in perpetual wince mode if I watched it now.

I agree with you 200% about Earth, Wind and Fire

Come on, we all know Michael Jackson's cover is the true superior one.

Michael is a little too fascinated by "mojo filter".

Ew.

I think I prefer the original, but that cover is damn good and I can completely understand why someone might prefer it to the original.
