Yeah.

Also, 'I feel that a significant part of what sets her apart from other mystery writers is the plot twists - their originality and their volume. But she also benefited from the fact that she was writing relatively early on in the history of the genre and so there wasn't a huge, existing body of work in the genre where people had written plot twists into the ground and there was a lot of stuff that was almost low-hanging fruit.

That's a good point. Honestly, mysteries aren't a favorite genre for me. What gets me with her isn't the mysteries, it is her characters. At least I love all the Poirot characters a lot. And a couple of the standalones as well have really interesting characters.
