This is my favorite Twilight Zone episode as well. The music is amazing.

Awwwww, no, I'm sorry! I can see both sides, though - I can see where you'd find it comforting, and I can also see why others might find it uncomfortable. Especially if they're experiencing the kind of heat they're not normally used to. It is a very intense episode, to be sure.

But yes, as others here have said, it's also a very good episode. Maybe/hopefully someday your family will be able to watch it again and, at the very least, see why you find it so comforting.

am I the only person who thought that little kid at the beginning of the ep was creepy? The first time I saw that ep I assumed it was going to be another creepy kid horror story

This episode has been my literal nightmare since I first saw it. I do find it kind of comforting that it turns out they’re freezing to death instead.
