I think it was more that Vision was presented as objective and pure of thought (via being "worthy" via Mjolnir) and since he thinks Wanda's a-okay, rationally she is.

This is true. According to the MCU logic vis a vis the Vision, Wanda =/= evil.

Huh, I do not think Vision is particularly versed in morals. Mjolnir judges people according to how well they can rule Asgard. Odin wields Mjolnir after all.
