I feel the same way about high as hope as I felt about ceremonials (though I liked ceremonials a lot better). it was transitional to me, and not as thematically coherent either. lungs, hbhbhb, and df all feel so cohesive (and hbhbhbh's video was amazing!!!!). so I love that what I liked musically about high as hope, hunger and big sky, and that single, moderation, was really full-bodied here. hate that pandemic had to happen, but I do think those themes are part of why this caught me so much. I think the only one I'm not really into is back in town.

the girls against god, dream girl evil, prayer factory, cassandra, heaven is here sequence is *chef's kiss* king, free, choreomanic is strong opening triplet, and restraint, the bomb, and morning elvis feel like such a great closing triplet, and i love that morning elvis sorta cycles back to king through allusion. this whole album feels like it's in the right order.

But yes! her theme music is so good. loved what she did for GOT.
