Anime.

Because I will be like "anime games!!! anime art!!! anime fanworks!!! anime seiyuu!!! anime songs!!! yay yay" but haven't actually watched a single anime in years lol.

My body. Like it's weird, and and hurts, and not fitting beauty standards - but also it's strong and I like what I can do with it.

Agreed. It's gotten me so far and I've achieved so much but there's still some days where my body is an absolute pain in the ass for seemingly no reason.

A lot of music where the words aren't good, but I love the sound so much I listen anyway.

Top Model. I don't know why I like it when I do. I just get these periods every once in while where I feel the need to rewatch this car wreck of a show.

I love Cats. I'm obsessed with it. I don't care how wacky or weird or traumatizing it's various versions are, I'm down to FUCKING CLOWN WITH IT.

Lana Del Rey's music. I find it very compelling and beautiful, but it also makes me uncomfortable a lot of the time.

My definition of "fandom" is a community of (one or more) people who love something so much they want to indulge in it past canon content, generally by making derivative works based on it (crafts, cosplay, fic, graphics, etc.) but can be things like collecting or discussing too. I agree that calling the community of McDonalds enthusiasts "fandom" is a bit of a stretch generally speaking, but there are characters, stories and even stuff like cartoons and games so... I can see how some people (oddly enough) could like these characters and stories. (for what it's worth I was into the Sega Genesis McDonalds game as a kid and even got a free Happy Meal because I drew what you'd call McDonalds fanart so maybe I was part of the fandom at some point, or maybe not since I was only in it for finantial reasons aka a Happy Meal lol.)

Any community that is fannish.

TBH I just don't even care enough to bother defining it. Which is saying a lot. because I fucking love "unpacking" things and hashing out what makes that thing that thing. But I just can't be bothered to do that with fandom. I do not care. It's whatever people are making of it.

I used to be big into cels back in the day, and out of curiosity got on ebay and searched for DBZ cels. And I kept finding bonkers stuff, as in, different sellers with the exact same picture, for different listings, with the exact same cel numbers (which is impossible! Because every single cel in a sequence has a different number). And I’m just baffled. Is this is weird scam? Has anyone else run across this? Here’s an example of three different listings, though these Bulma cels were not the only listings I found with the exact same cel for sale as someone else.

Well... not a collector myself but I suppose bootleg cels are a thing now.

As a collector, in my experience, bootlegs are really hard to do convincingly. Also, why would you go to the effort of creating a mediocre cel from a mediocre scene (and not of one of the Saiyan characters) if you were going to do one? That's why this just seems so odd to me. I don't know if sellers are just reusing someone else's pictures or what.

I dunno about "bootleg" specifically, but I know a guy who's into cel collecting and turns out there's a market for "replica cels". Sold as recreations, sometimes of shows that apparently weren't traditionally animated.

So I guess it's not surprising that if some people are openly selling "replica cels", someone with the same skillset might be essentially creating forgeries.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of forged animation cels in general. Unless you're buying from a reputable dealer, pretty much assume it's a fake. And sometimes they get stuff slipped by them as well.

The Mummy. Everyone in that movie is amazing.
