What's your problem with Steve Shives? (IDK who the Critical Drinker is, but I've watched some Shives videos, seemed okay to me.)

He just radiates this aura of insufferable smugness and self righteousness. Like he is the ultimate moral authority, especially on Star Trek. It is exactly the same sort of smugness and righteousness that godawful rightwing twat also radiates, just from a different direction. Neither of them leave room for anybody to differ from them.

A big part of me wonders more and more if this is in response to so much messaging to "be kind". I know that people pushing for kindness and unity has made me super angry because the people I see pushing this appear to be doing it fir the clout. It feels like a sham. Even my counselor is cutting some of these kindness promoters less slack.
