I think you're seeing connections where there are none. There are always secrets illustrated with "creatures" - cats, dogs, furries, monsters, dinosaurs, sheep, octopus, etc etc. This is just someone having fun messing around, not part of the Collective. The idea an ARG is going to start using fandom!secrets is kind of absurd (if that's what the comments last week were driving at).
