Re: What was the last movie you watched and did you enjoy it?
(Anonymous) 2022-08-24 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)The doc kind of pulls it's punches but it was still nice.

(Anonymous) 2022-08-25 12:09 am (UTC)(link)But yeah. So much failure and stupidity all over the place with that festival, it's crazy.

(Anonymous) 2022-08-25 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)There's one on HBO? I should watch that too.
Re: What was the last movie you watched and did you enjoy it?
(Anonymous) 2022-08-26 05:26 am (UTC)(link)But I do remember being up late that summer and watching MTV, because that was the time of day when they'd still show music videos, and that was when I heard the news about the craziness that went down there. I think I saw it in an MTV News brief or something.
And yeah, HBO put out a documentary about the festival last year as part of its "Music Box" series, which was a set of six different music-themed documentaries (there's one about DMX, and there's one about Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill album that I still need to sit down and watch). The Woodstock '99 documentary is called Woodstock '99: Peace, Love, and Rage. From what I've heard about the Netflix documentary it seems like they both cover a lot of the same ground, but yeah, it's out there if you want to check it out, too :). I thought it was pretty interesting. And infuriating.
