Yup.

The most accurate thing I've seen about Firefly is (paraphrased) "It wasn't on long enough to get bad." And that's part of it. What episodes we had were good, but it would have gone downhill eventually. Because it didn't, some people put it on a pedestal.

and we know some of the plans for the rest of the series as well, and while I don't know what teenage-me would think of the choice to have Inara get gang raped because a vagina poison would kill all the bad guys and save the crew, but current me is glad we never got to see that.

NAYRT but I mean.... I know that was their plan but I don't think they would actually have done it. I feel like that would not have made it to the screen.

Honestly, what episodes there are aren't even THAT good. They're not bad, but if the show came out today and was cancelled after one season I don't think anyone would bat an eye.
