Favourites? Least favourites?

For costumes, my favourites are: Pride and Prejudice (BBC), The Great Gatsby film, Sense and Sensibility, Game of Thrones, Poirot.

Honourable mentions for excellent knitwear: Gilmore Girls and the Harry Potter films from PoA onwards.

Special mentions for Star Trek TOS and Battlestar Galactica TOS for being iconic.

Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey are the most recent great costumes I’ve seen. Least favourite would probably be Sandman and the GoT prequel whose name I keep forgetting.

The amazing costumes were about the only reason I watched all of Downton Abbey.

The Nanny had some truly iconic looks going on.

I mentioned Our Flag Means Death as a modern example above.

Star Wars DEFINED sci-fi outfits for generations, as well.

I have no idea if they’re remotely historically accurate, but I loved the costumes in The Borgias and Penny Dreadful.

More recently, The Ipcress File had some good 60s fashion.

Reign is a favourite - not for historical accuracy but for general aesthetic. To be honest, the pretty dresses are the only reason I kept watching for so long.

Also, to stray into music territory, BTS' Blood Sweat & Tears MV outfits are beautiful. There's a bunch of kpop outfits that I love actually, especially the ones that are basically stylized hanboks.

I really love costumes and styling in Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell.
Also I am in love with The Get Down costumes.
Anyway, I am Eiko Ishioka's fan, so usually go for showy costumes.
As for least favorite, Rings of Power is an easy target, isn't it?

Shetland is good for scruffy chic.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the BBC miniseries - the children's costumes are wonderful. As are the locations in the Isles of Scilly.

Granada Holmes. Victorian elegance which does not preclude fisticuffs.

I have been loving the kit in Love Like The Galaxy.

Beautifully made and, even if I can't identify the exact period, clearly done with a knowledgeable eye and a lovely grasp of aethetics. And all the hair-loopies are so satisfying.

I love Jane Austen/Regency stories but I hate that period's fashion. They look like PJs. No matter how good or accurate they are I just don't like those dresses.

I feel you. To be fair, I don't really like regancy stories either, but this dresses are just awful. Topped with modern hairdos, it's even worse.
