Yeah, I don't know whether I fully agree about everything, but I think that the cumulative effect is part of why this phase feels so ... weird and off tone? Like, Thor is such a tragic character but is in the "funniest" movie, Ms Marvel and She Hulk are comedies, The Eternals was ridiculously earnest and sombre about characters we didn't care about (then introduced fucking Harry Styles as Thanos' bumbling relief brother) and there's still no overarching plot. Who are we supposed to care about, Marvel, and what tragedies are allowed to count?
