I sorta agree with you. The ones I liked the most were Princess Mononoke and Spirit Away. The others? Boring as fuck and didn't made me feel magical or something. I didn't even cry with the grave of the fireflies (ow-the-edge.jpg).

SA: Not mention also that Miyasaki is, albeit a great artist, an asshole irl, and that sours me when I watch any Ghibli movie.

What have you heard about Miyazaki that indicates he's an asshole irl? He has some opinions about anime that a lot of anime fans disagree with, including me to an extent, but that's the "worst" thing I've heard.
