Secrets Request Thread (from a different secret maker) (will make first 15 requests)

(Anonymous) 2022-09-18 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello, F!S! I'm not your regular secret maker, but as the number of secrets seems to be dropping back down again, I thought I'd offer to help out in a similar way.

Do you have a secret you'd like to be made? Comment with your secret below, and I'll make and submit it. Same rules as the primary secret maker - please be clear what fandom/characters you're talking about so I can try to find the most appropriate image.

However, so I don't get overwhelmed, I'll be capping this thread at 15 requests.

Once 15 have come in, I'll post a "thread closed" comment.

(I know the main secret maker did a new thread just the other day, so I'll be catching the stragglers. I don't want to over commit, I'd rather try this out and see how it goes.)

When it comes to DnD games, The Princess Bride is almost as cursed as Monty Python for its ability to disrupt games. It is starting to make me resent the movie, and I don't like that.

I realised I was faceblind when I watched The Princess Bride with my friends, and they all guessed Westley was the Man in Black almost instantly and I had no clue until the hill scene.

Naruto is my main fandom. That's not the secret. The secret is I haven't followed the canon since 2006 and yet my fic are more popular than ever.

I really like prequels, in general. I like getting a story and then getting the backstory to that story and its characters. Even so-so prequels I will probably enjoy if it means I get to learn something new about characters I love.

I wish CS Lewis's estate had authorized some knock-off Narnia books. Just to have some more Narnia stories with non-Pevensie kids.

I am very much not excited for the upcoming Ahsoka Star Wars series. It is supposed to be continuing the story on from the Rebels cartoon, and I don't want that. Not because I didn't like Rebels, I really super did and it was my fave Star Wars series, but because I thought the open ended bittersweet Rebels finale was just perfect the way it was. I don't need to see any more of it.

(tysm for your service)
Years ago, I knew of at least one "content creator" who knew of this place's existence. To any semi-famous public persona who may lurk here: I wish they will never reveal themselves. Never speak of it in a public way that brings light to this place. I like it the way it is.

Secret is: I think about and worry about this a lot. Like, what if some 500k+ subbed YTer mentions FS and their viewers start flooding this place? I don't think I'd like the attention. ='( And it's a silly worry to have but there it is. I can't stop my brain from its' irrational worries!

I still rewatch the old Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies. I'm glad we now live in a world where we know why they were wrong, and movies like those will never be made again though.

I will never not be a sucker for a new Heidi adaptation, but even I question some of the choices made in the version with Max von Sydow as the Grandfather.

DK Broster's "The Flight of the Heron" has a classic historical romance-novel format. It's got enemies-to-friends, lots of sword-fights, arguments, misunderstandings, kilts, castles, the works. It's just that Ewen Cameron and Keith Windham are both men, not man and woman.

I'm not burned out on the MCU at all. Still loving it. Loved most of the recent stuff.

All I want of Star Trek Lower Decks is more of Doctor T'Ana and Shaxs, because they have the healthiest relationship any two Trek characters ever had.

I'm sick and tired of people not taking my burning crush on John Malkovitch seriously. (He was hot when he was younger, okay?!?!!)

I have told an object of fandom (an actor) about fandom!secrets.

He has a very small fandom, most of you wouldn't have heard of him. There's probably been one secret about him in all the years of F!S, but people do make secrets about things he's been in.

He thought it sounded like good fun, and there's zero chance he'd ever be remotely interested in looking here. But I still know I've "broken a rule"... and it makes me giggle inside.

I like Wanda better as a villain. As a hero she's sympathetic but hard to root for given what she's done. But as a villain she's sympathetic, interesting, badass, and awesome. I wish they'd kept her evil.

REQUEST THREAD CLOSED

Thanks for your secrets - I'll get to making them this week!
