Re: Gen fandoms

Lots of them, I think. But this makes me ponder, what's the difference between loving a show, and being part of its fandom? I'm probably more inclined to get involved with a show's fandom when I ship characters, but sometimes I just intensely love a character or a show in general and don't give a damn who they're with, or I can enjoy and get behind many ships.

Thinking about it, there are way more shows I love than ships I particularly care about. I love both Criminal Minds and Poirot too, and don't strongly ship anyone in them. And Buffy is one of my all time fave shows, but I find I can enjoy various shipping possibilities in it, but don't feel strongly attached to any in particular.
