Not "since the early 1900s", you're a century out! Until Charles's reforms in 2012, any direct male-line descendant of the Queen could have a Prince or Princess title if the parents wanted them to, plus any grandchild of the current monarch (so Princess Anne's kids could have been Prince and Princess but she refused titles for them). After 2012, only grandchildren of the current monarch and direct descendants of the heir to the throne (i.e. Charles and William's children) would automatically be entitled to Prince or Princess, and the male line rule is gone.

So Harry's kids would have qualified if they'd been born before 2012, but they weren't. Now that they're the grandkids of the current monarch, they can have the titles again. So yes, Meghan was wrong, but you are also wrong. Seems like it's a tricky thing to get right, isn't it?

... it ought to be less tricky if you're actually IN the royal family. I don't know why so many people struggle with this, but there's virtually no chance that Harry and Meghan were ignorant of how titles work and who gets to have them. This was not an honest mix-up on their part and if they were in any way confused, they could've cleared it up via Google, or a phone call. They chose to pretend like it was about race, knowing full well that it wasn't, and that the rules would apply in exactly the same way even if Harry had married a white woman.

Sure, but if the OP is going to show up talking about how easy and obvious it is then get their facts wrong...
