Do what makes you happy OP :)

I'm not gonna lie, the vast majority of fandoms I'm in it for the shipping - but that's because I'm a sucker for romance (moreso for the emotional/angst than smut, but that's a whole other thing).

HOWEVER, there have been a handful of fandoms where I ended up not shipping at all - the first one being Undertale because I was more interested in how the game affected the characters (like characters who remembers the game resetting or just good old fashion trauma scenarios) or the family/found-family side of it - which really I was spoiled for choice in fanfics at the time I was in that community.

So yeah I guess depending on the fandom-source and what I am looking for, I do agree there can be more than shipping in fandom - but I also enjoy shipping because its fun for me.
