Horror movie scenes where some black and white horror classic is playing on the TV in the background. It's not funny, it's not quirky, I'm so tired of seeing the exact same Night of the Living Dead or Nosferatu clips used over and over.

That's more of a copyright thing rather than a trope. Same reason why kids in movies only seem to watch really old weird cartoons they probably wouldn't actually like - there are few series and movies that have a copyright expiration loophole so they get put in everything.
