Ew. Just ew.

I'll never understand why foot fetishism is the most common fetish. Like... why. Why feet. Why feet over hands? Or anything else for that matter?

(Anonymous) 2022-10-08 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Same. Then again, I have basically the opposite. Foots seriously squick me out.

(Anonymous) 2022-10-08 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Feet are gross.

Basically, anything that provokes a strong negative response in some people is going to provoke a strong positive response in others. So you being a foot squick person means there's a foot fetish person out there too.

I don’t know much about studies into the incidence of various fetishes, but I think that if you’re into many other body parts (hands, necks, legs, shoulders, etc.) it doesn’t even necessarily get labeled as a fetish. It’s just considered a thing that you like or an aspect of your “type”. And it’s easier to find pics or video clips that do it for you.

And in popular culture, foot fetishes seem “just weird enough” to be good material for jokes without actually squicking out most people.

Apparently it's thought to be something to do with cross wiring or input from areas of the brain that process sensation - the foot area is right next to the genitalia area (in the brain). There's a bunch of scientific articles positing that as the explanation, anyway.

I agree, feet do not turn me on at all.

Interesting. I had heard that as an explanation for foot stimulation (like toe sucking) but not the visual representation of feet.

I may spend my Sunday down a rabbit hole of sexual fetish research reading.

Feet do nothing for me but I dated a foot fetish guy once and he liked kissing and licking my feet. Pretty harmless.

(Anonymous) 2022-10-08 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be an instant turn off for me, I'd be too grossed out to do anything further.

I had a friend who had a paying foot slave for years. He was a nice guy and she genuinely liked him. Good money, he gave good foot massages and paid for pedicures and fancy shoes. Win/win.

I'm not into foot stuff, but I always pay attention to other people's feet (and thus notice really nice feet) because I have toes that look like Quasimodo :(

Here's hoping I find someone who either doesn't care about feet or likes mine. Lol. That said, I appreciate my feet for taking me everywhere! love you, feet :)

I'm not turned on by feet, but I'm not turned off by feet either, nor am I squicked by foot fetishes. If I was attracted to someone and they had nice feet, I might find their feet attractive along with the rest of them.

Also, I think I have nice feel. Slender, high arches, longish toes, Egyptian toe shape, curved toe nails. There are plenty of things about my body I don't like, but my feet are ten out of ten (except they're a bit big, so okay, nine out of ten). :P

(Anonymous) 2022-10-09 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's something I can take or leave. I don't get the intense negative squick reaction. Feet are just...a normal body part? Almost everyone has them? It seems like one of the tamest fetishes out there.

I also think I have pretty nice feet. Mine are too dainty if anything though - US women's 6 1/2, which is too small for my height.

(Anonymous) 2022-10-09 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
To me 6.5 is a great foot size! I think 7 would be my ideal. Mine are 8.5 or 9, which isn't TOO bad since I'm 5'8", but it's still on the big side. Which I'm 100% fine with when I'm barefoot; it's just when I want to wear shoes/boots with pointed toes that I start to feel like my feet are too long to be aesthetically pleasing.

A sales assistant once said to me, "Have you ever looked at a stranger and thought, 'Her feet are too big to look good in those shoes?'" Which I thought was a very good point, because I am a critical bitch, yet I still have never thought that about a person in real life. (I've thought it about a model in a magazine before, but never about anyone IRL.) And I think that's at least as true for small feet. I can't imagine thinking someone's feet would look better if they were bigger. Like, that is just not something I've ever thought before. Well...okay, there was this one time that I was talking to a woman with size 4 feet, and she was wearing sneakers with heels inside them, which made her feet look even smaller. And that one time I did think her feet were so small as to be weird looking. But that was a very extreme case! XD

NAYRT

I always realize/remember how big my feet are when I recall I wear a size 8 and I'm 5'4. T.T

(Anonymous) 2022-10-09 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
NA

I wear a women's size 12. I'm 5'8", but still, 12 is pretty big. Like, I get funny reactions when I tell people, almost instant denial because people hear the size and immediately think that they would notice. But my feet fit me, so. I will say I think women's feet have gotten bigger because I've noticed the selection has gotten wider for my size in the last 10-15 years.

Same with not thinking much about feet. They means I can walk and do things, I like my feet. But whatever, just another body part. Not into kink shaming so whatever, people like what they like, so long as it's not harmful and all parties involve are consenting adults.

At least you know you could make good money with those nice feet. ;D

My feet are OK. A few sorta mishapen middle toes from my teens and 20s shoving my feet into heels either too big or too small.
