The Quiet Place. For such a lauded movie, I hated it. I thought the characters were stupid as fuck and the monster's weakness was as well. Or at least, their weakness never being discovered.

A weakness which pretty much came pre-spoofed by the Mars Attacks movie way back in 1996.

I think what annoyed me the most was that this movie made a deal about the aliens hunting with sound and then had characters doing things that would make so much noise but because the sounds could be edited out it pretended like they didn't make sound? Also having a baby in this situation? What the actual dumb-fuckery???? 'I can have a baby quietly' NO YOU FUCKING CAN'T??? And if you could somehow keep quiet THE FUCKING BABY WON'T.

This would be working under the notion that either of the adults in this movie had brains, which they clearly didn't.

Hello A Quite Place hater gang!
Characters having a BOX for rising their baby. Fucking box.
Start of the movie with parents being so dumb you want aliens to eat all their family. Characters can be stupid and engaging when they have some internal reasons and logic - this character is impulsive, this one is naive, this one is traumatized. Characters in A Quite Place are dumb to move a plot, this is such a bad writing.

yeah the characters were all dumber than a box of sticks. I had this mental image of the aliens laughing at them

Luckily lately there has been some "backlash" against the movie and more and more people are openly saying it actually sucks. FINALLY.
When it came out and everybody was saying it's the best horror movie ever I was so fucking confused....

Yeah same. Like in what universe it was best horror? Yes, deaf character was good and that's about it.
