They showed them through the drawing of one of the "possessed" characters. The one that enters the house, if I remember correctly.
Ironically, them showing the pictures is what I despised most of the movie. I didn't want to see the monsters because THAT is the real creepy thing. Not knowing and seeing your enemy.

I'm sorry that movie upsetted you. I watch horror movie because I want to feel uneasy and fucked up, but I get that's not everyone's preference.

Yeah I watched it with a group of friends, i thought it would be something stupid and ridiculous to mock together but yikes. No.
