There's a lot of hate for Texas in this thread, but like at least Texas has some nice things going for it. Oklahoma's got nothing nice going for it, LOL. It has (almost) all the shittiest parts of Texas with none of the perks, man.

Thing with Texas is, it's got very very very bad qualities but also very very very good qualities

Whereas some states out there don't really have any good qualities

Yeah, Texas at least has some great Brutalist places; is the birthplace of Dr. Pepper; and has some pretty good food. I still need to attend their state fair to see how it stacks up to Minnesota's (although I suspect I'll be biased in my assessment). So Texas has some redeeming qualities, which makes it better than Mississippi (which really is a dump, at least the parts I saw en route to New Orleans a few years back).

Dallas has a great skyline, Houston has even better steak, Austin has culture, Hill Country has peach pie and old people, wand New Braunfels has Schlitterbahn. Fuck Six Flags, Schlitterbahn has world famous swimming ants!
