I feel you. This is how I felt after 30 years of marriage, and now that i've been 7 years divorced, it's such a fucking RELIEF to not have to deal with another person's...everything. And, like you, my ex SO was not and is not a bad, abusive, or terrible person. Just selfish in a lot of small ways (never grocery shopped or made a meal or cleaned), and demanding about one thing in a really big way that was never, ever going to change.

I hope you can find equilibrium in your relationship, Anon, or that you can find your way to being single. I am so very glad I am (and also will never fucking date. Ever. Forever.)
