People like what they like. Personally I just like a sexy villain. Kylo is okay, not a favorite. Don't know the other two. But yes, I have a type, and I don't see a problem with that.

I'm just tired as hell because it's like...wanting a cup of tea when every shop only sells coffee. Coffee's great, coffee's fine, everyone can like coffee if they want, but for once can a place serve tea, maybe?

Well, considering I'm already into Sauron based on him in the Silmarillion and him canonically having a "fair form," yes, I am hoping we get some nice, pretty evil.

I've seen people pre-emptively complaining about making Sauron hot, and those people are just telling on themselves that they don't know the lore.

I listened to a podcast where they went on at great length about "yassified Sauron" and various canonical proofs and it was hilarious. I confess I fell asleep trying to read the Silmarillion but I'll totally watch Rings of Power if it goes there.

Of course you don't see a problem with it, 95% of fandom content is right up your alley. From your perspective, there ISN'T a problem.

It's not up my alley and also not a problem. Most of fandom is female and although a higher percentage of fandom than non-fandom is queer, most women in fandom still like men.
