I'm actually interested in the premise of this book... but am turned off by the fact that it's ostensibly Austen fanfiction. Like, what does making your characters servants of specifically the Bennets serve? Was the author not confident enough about her own ideas, or was it an intentional and (IMO) cheap marketing gimmick?
