I'm ace, and the phrasing gave me a second's pause, because it kind of makes asexuality sounds like a choice (like abstinence). However, I see no reason to presume that's how OP meant it, when there are lots of other ways of interpreting their wording that are all perfectly valid.

I agree with you on everything you wrote. (I probbaly came off too aggressive? sorry)
Unfortunately being ace is so misunderstood that when I see ambiguos phrasing like this my mind just go to the worst conclusion first. I just wanted to point out that it's an ambiguos way of stating it and I'm not too confortable about that.
