Same! Honestly, I kind of assume it doesn't even get on the radar because female actors probably just assume that they're supposed to be shaved to wear clothes that show legs/pits and will be awkwardly asked to if they don't... I see plenty of people irl who don't shave one or both, I think it's way more normal than it would seem from fiction.

I vaguely recall this one former intelligence agent—I think it was John le Carre? Anyway, he wrote about doing this low-level work nobody really cared about, and his boss kept warning him to watch out for Russian spies, and eventually he realized the boss psychologically needed to believe their work was important enough to bother spying on.
