“700 words is not a good fic. That's a scene. Did none of you learn the whole rising action-climax-falling action in school??”

Fanfic has the benefit of having canon already having set the scene for it. So judging fic by book concepts isn’t always necessary. And not every story, published short stories included, has a plot that needs “rising action-climax-falling action”. This is a ridiculous standard to hold all fanfiction to.
