It's AMAZING.
I mean you have to enjoy 80s fantasy film, it's very much of the period of the genre, but the QUALITY is there, it shines over a lot of others.

The only flaw in it is at the climax, where you do have to wonder why all these guards are standing around in the background when the bad guy and good guy have a long protracted public fight, especially since the bad guy is a bishop, but if you are willing to accept that narrative convenience (and I certainly am), then it is otherwise flawless.
