I suspect most of the Randy hate was just fans trying to fill the void with two of the main characters gone, and no Jackie/Hyde to focus on. Randy was neither good nor bad. He was just an easy target.

I thought he was perfect. He was the most obvious casting choice but he was basically lifted directly from the pages of the comic. They made some risky casting decisions that paid off (Death, Lucienne, Rose) some that didn't (Lucifer, Matthew) and some that were not risky at all, like Gilbert, and overall I think that was the right call.

Carpenter Brut does have some pretty sexy songs, good taste. Not my fave dark-synthwave but I do like them. Not as much as Dance with the Dead but more than Perturbator.
