If you mean the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you barely actually see any blood in it. It's just so intense you assume you saw way more than you did. And Cannibal Holocaust is making a whole bunch of points, though it's severely problematic in various ways, not the least being the killing animals on screen.

Totally agree with you on the way rape scenes are filmed.
