Re: Question for fellow pet guardians
What kind of fish do you have?
Re: Question for fellow pet guardians
(Anonymous) 2022-10-20 12:26 am (UTC)(link)It was always Betta fish. I don't have any right now, but I'm thinking of maybe starting up a new tank next year. We'll see. I had one I got really close to pass and it was pretty hard (which I know sounds silly, because it's a fish, anon, wtf, but they have little personalities and can recognize you and bond), and then the one I got later when he was still a baby passed as well (after growing and what not). And at that point I just realized I didn't want to do this anymore, especially if I wasn't going to be able to care for them at 100% (when I was taking care of me at 100%), and I felt I needed a break (and a new tank entirely). So I've stopped for now. Maybe different fish next time.
Sorry for rambling! And if it got a bit sad. But animals are wonderful creatures, and I'm sure your kitten will love whatever you end up doing! They can definitely tell who loves and cares for them.
Re: Question for fellow pet guardians
I totally get wanting to take a break too. Take care of yourself.
