I can understand you don't like the romance and clearly Mo Ran is pretty hard to root for, but seriously what do you have against Chu Wanning? He's one of the most interesting characters in Chinese danmei novels. At least he's not a walking cliché like Wei Wuxian or, worse, Xie Lian. He's not perfect, granted, and he's got a bit of a temper, but that's what makes him interesting.

As for Shi Mei, I don't really care for their decision to cast a woman and I don't really care for the character in the book either. He's got nothing on Jin Guangyao imo as far as sympathetic antognists are concerned.

I still believe that the best part about 2Ha is clearly not the sex scenes - even though they're not as bas as usual - but the plot. The plot is awesome and is the only thing that got me through the awful machine translations and the quite despicable protagonist in the first part of the novel.
